Pros -Lowers the lag in multiplayer games. -Good, under $100 card, without sacrificing quality.
Cons -Definitely not for HARDCORE gamers. -NO Overclocking
Recommended it? Yes

If you want to play the average games on the market, [i.e. Halflife, Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000] without lagging performance in graphic quality, the ATI Radeon 9000 fits your bill.

Like the more expensive video cards, such as the ATI... Read full review »

Pros Excellent performance.
Cons None really. If you're a hard core gamer you'll want something more.
Recommended it? Yes

I am currently using the Radeon 9000 64MB graphics card since I put my new system together in August of 2003. It works very well with my 17" Tatung CRT monitor.

I am able to get the resolution up to 2048 x 1536, but I only stay between 640 x 480 to 1024 x 768. It also supports 32-bit... Read full review »

ATI RADEON X1800 XL: Supersized graphics power?

bytheuerkorn Nov 23, 2005
35 Helpfuls 36 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Shader 3.0 support, Crossfire ready, reasonable power consumption, reasonable price, good...
Cons Not SLI compatible, still expensive, long card, relatively low OpenGL performance
Recommended it? Yes

In light of the revised nVidia 7800 GTX 512, ATI's Radeon X1800 XL may appear a little handicapped, and by raw numbers that's even true. However, considering money, the lofty 7800 GTX and ATI's response, the Radeon x1800 XT, are in a completely different league with additional $150 to $300 that has... Read full review »

Pros crossfire support(if you can find the right mo-bo. Pci-express x16.
Cons ran games horribly(literally worse than a geforce 6600 gt).
Recommended it? No

Bought as a replacement for a x700 that wasn't living up to standards. Ran very low framerates and unlike what Ati says AVIVO doesn't improve DVD quality, drivers are very very slow, and the GPU failed after 30 days. Ati was no help, and I never heard back from them. Pitched it and went with the... Read full review »
