Pros Fast speed, 16 MB cache, supports SATA II, quiet, good price.
Cons Warranty 1 year is a little short. 7,200 RPM limits speed of SATA II.
Recommended it? Yes

I bought this 250 GB Western Digital Caviar drive for a scant $49 a CompUSA when they had a $90 rebate on it. Watch out for their weekend deals which start on Sunday mornings, they often feature a good price on a hard drive.

I purchased this hard drive(HD) from CompUsa for $59 after rebate, which is an EXCELLENT price for an internal SATA2 250 Gig hard drive with 16 mb cache.
I purchased it to use as a 2nd drive for video editing.

This drive model is fast, large and quiet.  So far no failures in the 20 or so I have purchased.  I used these to replace the stock drives that come in Dell and Lenovo laptops.  These vendors are a bit slow to offer the largest capacity drives or sometimes ship with 5400rpm... Read full review »
